Carved from the tropical rainforest in the foothills of the eastern Himalayas, the Namsang tea estate is remotely located in the Upper Assam Valley. The boundary of the estate is marked by canopies of immense Hollong and White Meranti trees and is also part of a rich biome that is home to over 277 bird species, leopards, golden langur, wild elephants, and the rare one-horned Indian rhino. The isolated location along with the slight elevation gives the tea from this estate high grown character. Deeper malty flavors and with the liquor, a shade of dark amber, the notes of dates, cocoa, and a hint of wood permeates the palette. The lingering aftertaste of dried drupes calls to the mind a sublime experience of the Indian Harvest, 2021!

A full-bodied, robust Assam cup which starts with a pronounced malty character and defines the central theme of the liquor. Subtle sweet accents, akin to dates interlaced with cocoa-like textures are discernible towards the middle and around the edges, adding a layer of depth and rounded feel to the liquor. Muted woody notes shore up towards the finish which however ebb to finish on lingering sweet tones of dried drupes.
