Tasting Notes

From our Chief Tea Taster
Submit
Aroma
Soft floral with hint of greens, cantaloupe and muted citrusy undertones.
Appearance
Light Gold
Taste
A light-bodied, pleasantly smooth cup which starts with a soft floral tonality akin to gardenia and gradually opens up to reveal delectable fruity notes akin to cantaloupe towards the middle, rendering a distinct character and crispness to the liquor.

Soft vegetal accents are discernible around the edges which however ebb to finish on a lush wave of citrus, making for a memorable experience of Clonal black teas this Spring season.

Consistent and fresh, high quality first flush blend

This is one of my go-to teas. Not as aromatic as some of your single estate Spring teas, but high quality, fresh, and consistent as a blend should be. Lovely tropical fruit character (mangosteen, ripe mango) that especially comes through when cold-brewed.

It is decent

When I brew it for the recommended time, I find it a bit bitter. I brew it for a minute less and I find it good for my taste.

Smooth body but a light tea

I prefer my tea strong but this one though on the weaker side, surprised me. I enjoyed the unique aroma, the light taste and the smooth balance.

Fresh, smooth and flavoursome

Extremely fresh, smoothly textured and full of flavour. I'm not a big Darjeeling drinker but this is one that I always enjoy due to its top to bottom depth of flavour with hints of apple.

True Darj flavour and FRESH!

I try others and keep returning to this trusted option.
Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! This is bursting with flavour and character.
I use a tiny ceramic teapot to steep.
Too few leaves and its weak, too much and it tends to get bitter, so I am careful to stick to the right measure once I crack it.
Surprise!: It tastes great even when it comes to room temperature so I assume it will make a very posh iced tea.
