Earlier known as Bara Ringtong, this revered tea estate was established in 1864 and rechristened as Margaret's Hope in 1927. A picturesque garden with two rivers flowing through and views of the incredible Himalayan peaks, the estate produces the finest first flush teas. This year's produce is memorable. Notes of fruits arrive towards the start with subtle green hints adding depth to the liquor towards the middle. The aftertaste is of fresh peonies, making it an exceptional cup of first flush 2021 Darjeeling.

A light-bodied, mellow cup which feels ample in the mouth and is pleasantly brisk. Delectable tropical fruity undertones similar to mandarin and muskmelon coat the palate right at the start and resonate throughout the length of the cup. Subtle green undercurrents are discernible along the edges which are joined by light nutty accents similar to hazelnut; rendering a layer of depth and vibrancy to the liquor. Sweet fragrance of fresh peonies comes through towards the end and lingers on, making for a memorable experience of Chinary black tea from this revered tea estate.
