The legacy of this tea estate of Darjeeling goes 150 years back in history, when Mr. Henry, a British planter, started cultivating tea in this region. Mr. Henry was popularly called as Selim Saheb by the locals, and that went on to become the origin of nomenclature of this estate. Residing in the foothills of Himalayan Mountains, at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level, Selim Hill is spread across an area of 370 Hectares where nearly 200 people are involved in farming premium quality orthodox teas every year.
