This tea comes from one of the most renowned gardens of Darjeeling, earlier known as Kumseri. A building named Bank Ghar that resembled the look of a castle led to its naming as Castleton Tea Estate. A 136-year-old tea garden famed to produce exceptional Indian single estate teas, this tea is rarely produced during this season. Just one hour twenty minutes away from our facility, we have traveled to this iconic estate to sample and procure this tea fresh. An ever-elusive light, pleasant tasting experience with soft floral tones akin to honeysuckle and amaryllis greets the palate right at the start. Towards the middle, stone-fruity attributes like apricots add a sublime texture to the liquor. The aftertaste is of sweet grapes, a splendid experience of Indian Summer Harvest 2021!

A light-bodied, mellow and pleasantly brisk cup beaming with vibrant-fruity attributes. Soft floral tones, reminiscent of honeysuckle and amaryllis envelop the palate at the start which however gradually subside to reveal a heart resonating with luscious stone-fruity characters akin to apricots; rendering a distinct texture to the liquor. Subtle honeyed accents shore up around the edges which ebb to finish on lingering sweet-grapey tones, making for a distinguished experience of Summer Moonlight Whites from this iconic plantation.
