Tasting Notes

From our Chief Tea Taster
Submit
Aroma
Light vegetal with hints of sweet peas and light zesty undertones
Appearance
Light Gold
Taste
A pleasantly brisk, light-bodied cup which starts with a clean note of sweet greens and gradually opens up to reveal delectable notes of cantaloupe towards the middle, rendering a distinct character to the liquor. Soft floral tones are discernible along the edges which however give way to finish on rejuvenating citrusy accents. A joy to savor this Spring!

Not bad, simple chill tea

Detailed, fresh tea. Not perfect but still a perfectly good tea.

Earthy

The aroma when dry is very earthy, although the taste is less earthy and much more sweet actually. I was a little skeptical based on the aroma alone, but after steeping, I was pleasantly surprised at the sweetness in the flavor after all.

Bright and brisk

This is a love bright Darjeeling, on the green side. Astringent if steeped too long. Slightly on the stronger side and good for an afternoon pick up.

Lovely!

Originally when this tea came I was hesitant. The description of it having a 'Citrus' and 'Sweet greens' palate was off putting. I decided to give it a go and am happy that I did! I found this tea to be very delicious and strong in taste. Only downfall is that it is very high in caffeine so it is more of a morning tea rather than evening.

Aromatic, floral/earthy

While steeping, I wasn't sold out on its aroma, but was pleasantly surprised after I took the first sip. The mild taste complemented the aroma well and I enjoyed the cup thoroughly.

Bright, Summery

A very interesting tea-- the aroma is supposed to be cooked spinach and yellow flowers, and from that I read a definite freshness. The taste is even more bright and fresh, definitely more like a nice light salad instead of earthy. It's definitely got a decent amount of caffeine but was very tolerable. This is one of my favorite green teas that I have tried so far.

A great Darjeeling

This is a classic spring Darjeeling with the floral aroma and flavor we have come to expect from these high quality teas.

Mim Classic Spring Black

Although I was skeptical at first when I saw there was Dandelion in the aroma and palate, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it made the tea naturally sweet! It was as if someone had already placed a dash of honey in my tea! Wonderful.

Best First Flush!

Definitely the best first flush tea that I purchased from Teabox. The flowery/grassy aroma is simply wonderful. Flavor is quite fruity with just the right amount of astringency that is typical to high qualty first flush Darjeeling. This tea has a long finish that lingers with you. Don't add any milk but a bit of sugar is fine if you want to balance the astringency. A truly enjoyable tea!
