I have now tried several of the Teabox black teas that are vacuum packed and I'm impressed how they have a fresh floral aroma. Years ago I visited a tea plantation in the Himalayan foothills and I remember how much I liked the aroma of fresh tea. The Teabox teas bring that experience back to me.

This is my favorite Assam tea. It has a fruity flavor and is full bodied and can be made strong without becoming tannic.

In my opinion, he is inferior to Halmari and Doomni. And the price is too high, but overall a good soft assam without pronounced astringency.

It's a great tea, never bitter, but not as flavorful and malty as the Harmutty, imo. For half the price I'd buy the Harmutty every time.

Nice tea and packaging.

Excellent tea. It smells like fresh hay. It is so delightful. I usually take my Assam with milk, but this one I can drink both with or without. It has the character as an Assam and yet it is mild.

This is my favorite tea, with its delicate tippy appearance and vegetal aroma in my tea tin. It's delicate and slightly fruity but still hasa good amount of malt. I love sipping my tea from the foothills of the Himalayas while gazing at the foothills of the Rockies here in the US!

I am pleasantly surprised with the purchase. I am an admirer of Assam Mangalam, and the tea I received was perfect in every sense and it was neatly packed in convenient 100 g foil cubes. It arrived quicker than I could expect. The price was just right - about the same I used to pay for this quality tea.

For those who enjoy strong black teas then Assam are the tea to choose. This tea exemplifies Assam teas, malty, saliva thickening (always a sign of good tea), malty with an underlying violet taste that enhances and balances the strong tastes with a satisfying meaty, umami aftertaste that lingers for some time after drinking. I steep twice and can stand a third steep if so inclined, which I often do. I recommend this tea for a full flavoured Assam experience.

Perfect cup of tea

I generally drink breakfast teas, but I liked the brightness of this tea in the afternoon. Lovely flavor, medium bodied but still a deep flavor profile.

Mellow, but very flavourful.

Starts with hints of dades, biscuits with honey, and finishes with a dry mouth feel and magnificent Assam bite.
Gives me that bit of oempf I need in the morning to get me going.

This is a stunning tea, a wonderful discovery. It is quite and strong, which is something I like in a tea. However it has a complex mixture of flavors, including sweet and toffee-like tastes. For me this completely validates the Teabox concept and its appeal. Wow.

It's a wonderful tea full of flavor. Nice dark brew. I love black teas so it worked great for me. Time the steeping so you don't get the bitter taste.

Liked it best plain or with a little sugar which enhanced the caramel/raisin palate.

The flavor is very smooth; a little bitter if overstepped. I found the aroma a little musty. Good with lemon

Plum, cherry, malt oh the malt. There is also a hint of burnt sugar and some dryness but it only adds to the allure. Mega bounciness. One of the few teas I can see myself adding some honey to. Brewed 7g in 220ml quick steeps.

I enjoy drinking tea straight, even the more astringent ones. This, however, even though it is recommended sweetened or with lemon, is very smooth. It has an astringency in the aftertaste but it is short lived.
The aroma is sweet and it is a very pleasant drink for the morning.

Really enjoyed how smooth this was, coupled with the lovely honey flavour on the palate.

Really like the caffeine pick me up, very smooth taste.
