Very similar to longjing green tea.

This is an excellent green tea that's comparable to Chinese longjing teas in flavor with its own unique sweet aroma.

Powerful, calming Gyokuro-ish green tea

This Glendale green tea (brew) looks very nice with a very light greenish yellow color, rather than the typical yellow color of the green teas. The leaves (un-steeped) are dark green and look fresh. The dark greenish color of the leaves reminds me of the popular Japanese Gyokuro green tea. Smell is not very strong but light and fresh. When brewed per the usual instructions - (2g leaves, 85 C, 3 min, etc.) - the tea tastes light and just good. As we continue sipping, taste becomes more pronounced, and becomes very lightly sweet. It is very different from the typical Darjeeling green teas. The after effect is quietly quite powerful. It is calming. It is subtle and somewhat lasting. Sometimes, I brew the tea in a drastically different way. I use cooler (not-so-hot) water, around 70 C, and steep the leaves for much longer, around 8-10 mins. This will give a brew that is noticeably stronger and has a Gyokoro-ish flavor. It is not quite the Umami flavor of Gyokuro, but very remotely similar. I think TeaBox has done a very good job of keeping the tea fresh, which can be felt in the look of the leaves and the taste of the brew. One of the finest green teas I've known. Highly recommended!

Surprise

I like it. I don't usually go for white tea, but I found the light flavor of this one pleasing. I had to steep it for four minutes rather than the recommended three. My sister thought it tasted like nothing, but I think if you like white tea, you'll like this one.
