How To Make Chai Premix?

STEEPING METHOD - NO PAN NEEDED

Step 1

Heat 100 ml of water to 90–95°C (194–203°F).

Step 2

Empty 1 sachet in a cup

Step 3

Pour the hot water over.

Serving

Perfect as it is. Serve Hot or cold with some ice cubes.

Storage Instructions

Store in a cool, dry place away from heat, sunlight and moisture. Do not store the pouch for more than 6hrs

What makes this chai premix different from regular market premixes?

What is Fossence (Prebiotic Fiber) and why is it used?

Fossence is a natural prebiotic fiber (FOS) made through the fermentation of cane sugar. It supports gut health, improves digestion, and adds gentle natural sweetness - making your chai healthier without added sugar.

Why is Sunflower Lecithin added?

Sunflower Lecithin is a natural, plant-based emulsifier that gives your chai a smooth, creamy texture. It is a cleaner alternative to synthetic emulsifiers used in regular premixes.

Is this safe for diabetics?

This product is designed to be diabetic-friendly because it contains no added sugar and uses low-GI natural sweeteners (FOS + Stevia leaf extract). However, individual needs vary - please consult your physician or dietitian if you have specific dietary restrictions, are on medication, or require strict glycaemic control.

Is this truly made with real spices?

Yes. Each flavor is made with real spices (for example: cardamom, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, saffron, rose) as listed on pack. Where needed, we use complementary natural flavors only to preserve aroma - we do not use synthetic essences.

Why is INS 551 (Anti-Caking Agent) used?

INS 551 (Silicon Dioxide) is a safe, naturally occurring mineral that prevents lumps and keeps the premix free-flowing. It is not a preservative and does not affect taste or quality.

Is this premix completely sugar-free?

It is not sugar-free, but it contains No Added Sugar. Any sugar present comes naturally from the dairy whitener (lactose), not from added refined sugar. The sweetness in each cup comes from FOS (prebiotic fiber) and high-purity Stevia leaf extract, with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Is this suitable for lactose-intolerant customers?

Our premix contains dairy whitener, so it may not be suitable for those with lactose intolerance. Please check the ingredient list before consumption.

Does it contain caffeine?

Yes. It contains caffeine naturally present in Assam tea extract. The level is similar to a regular cup of chai. Enough to refresh you, not overwhelm you.

Why do I sometimes see tiny spice particles in my chai?

Those are real, finely ground spices like ginger, cardamom, and nutmeg - proof that we use natural ingredients instead of artificial “masala flavor.” They are completely safe and edible.

Amazing that I can now have my chai on the go!

I was WAITING to have Teabox come up with something like this! My office doesn't have a chai option in or around it, and coffee in winters doesn't hit the spot like chai does! I've gifted this to busy friends in the US, and they loved it too!

Tea tastes are really very good but also make premix boxes of separate flavors so we can select flavor which we like the most.

SO FLAVORFUL!!!

Every morning since I got my chai premix box, I pick a mystery flavor from the box (I just grab one, I don’t choose a specific one, they are all good so far!), and mix with 8 oz of water (or sometimes coffee!) and sit and relax to a lovely cup of joy. One note, make sure you don’t use too much water, it throws off the flavor and makes it taste a bit hollow…8 oz is perfect, 10 oz is too much. I’m enjoying so much I ordered more.

Really the best premix I have ever had. It does taste different than my normal homemade stovetop chia tea. But definitely will work when traveling or short on time. You can still cook it on stove. I boil 10 oz water, add packet, your preferred sweetener, & add 6 oz or yr preferred milk. Boil additional 3 minutes. Really a treat & comforting tea. But again it is a different taste than traditional stovetop method. I’m impressed. Thank you Tea Box
